Wilcombe Primary School are seeking an inspirational Primary School Teacher to join our dedicated school team. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic practitioner who is passionate about delivering high‑quality teaching and helping every child achieve their full potential.

About the Role

As a Teacher, you will deliver high‑quality teaching and learning in line with the Teachers’ Standards. The successful candidate will initially work in key stage 1 (although there is scope to consider applicants with a preference to work in key stage 2)

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, preparing and teaching engaging lessons tailored to pupils’ individual needs
  • Leading by example to secure high standards of behaviour, motivation and achievement
  • Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using data to inform planning and target‑setting
  • Reporting to parents and contributing to school improvement processes
  • Creating a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with support staff and colleagues across the school
  • Contributing to performance management, training, and whole‑school initiatives
  • Upholding school values, behaviour expectations and community ethos

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled teacher who can bring positivity, professionalism and a strong commitment to children’s learning.

Essential attributes include:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an ECT
  • Recent successful teaching experience in EYFS, KS1 or KS2
  • Strong behaviour management skills and understanding of high‑quality teaching and learning
  • Ability to teach pupils of all abilities and use ICT effectively in lessons
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and reflective practice
  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the wider community

Desirable attributes include:

  • Experience leading a curriculum area
  • Excellent ICT skills and ability to contribute to policy development
  • Experience teaching across multiple primary key stages
  • Ability to organise extra‑curricular activities
